The local Sheridan Pilots Association (SPA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit private foundation with a simulator room at Sheridan County Airport - Main Terminal. Sheridan County Airport is beginning a major improvement project that includes:
Realignment of Taxiway A (East end)
Expansion of the GA taxi lane and apron
Removal of connectors A-2 and A-3 (A-2 will be reconstructed)
Timeline:
Contractors mobilize: September 8
Construction begins: September 10
Work will pause during winter and resume in spring 2026, continuing through summer.
Operational Impacts:
Runway 6/24 will be closed to takeoffs and landings for much of the project, but open for taxiing.
Lighted X’s and taxiway wands will mark closures.
Check NOTAMs before every flight.
GA traffic to Runway 33/15 must taxi via A-1 → Runway 24 → A-3
