My Story
On March 14th, 2022 Bryan Belus joined our team as Lead Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII) full-time! We know many of you have trained and flown with him. Bryan's calm demeanor, experience, hard work ethic, knowledge, commitment, loyalty and passion for aviation are enduring qualities that are going to help us improve Sheridan Pilots 307 training, structure and growth.
From 2012-2015, Bryan attended Sheridan College earning Associates of Science/General Studies. From 2014-2016, he studied at Casper College earning Associates of Science in Radiography. Most exciting from 2019-2020, Bryan completed the ATP Flight Program in Ogden, Utah where he earned his private license with instrument and commercial rating followed by multi-engine commercial rating and CFI/CFII certificates.
Shortly after Sheridan Pilot 307 founding in May 2020, Bryan moved back to his native Sheridan from Utah. He started flying as an independent instructor. To date, Bryan has nearly 1,400 hours of total flying experience and over 1000 hours instructing with us. In 2022, he also obtained his Tailwheel Endorsement and Single-Engine Seaplane Rating.
In his personal life, Bryan enjoys his family of five: wife Lela, son Henry (6), daughter Sandra (3) and daughter Maren (1). He really loves aviation and classic cars. Right now Bryan is restoring his first ever vehicle, a 1961 Willys Jeep Truck! When not in the air or garage, you can find him riding four wheelers or playing Nintendo with his son Henry. Bryan's family owns and operates a nearby generational cattle ranch where he lends a helping hand when called upon. His favorite times on the ranch are the simple chores of driving the tractor in the winter feeding cows and spring branding.

Bryan has been with SP307 from nearly the beginning and we would not be where we are today without his hard work, passionate instructing and loyalty to the company!
