My Story

Captain Jeff is a lifelong pilot, and by his own admission, a "Total Airplane Junkie" with over
34,000 hours of Flight Time.  He began flying at age 14, solo'd at 16, earned Private license at 17 and Commercial at 18.  Since then, Jeff has had an amazing career being involved in teaching flying for the last 45 years. His favorite day is one where he gets to fly... anything.

Jeff holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and Commercial certificate for Single Engine Land and Gliders.  Up until recently Jeff served the greater Rocky Mountain region as a Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) with approval for; PE-ASEL, PE-AMEL, CIRE-ASEL, CIRE-AMEL, MCE, FPE, GIE and FIRE.  In Fall of 2021, Jeff retired from American Airlines as Captain on the Boeing 777-300.

Jeff owns a 1976 V35B Beechcraft Bonanza and a 1950 Cessna 170A taildragger. He
can regularly be spotted around the airport in a variety of other airplanes as well!.  Jeff helped create the non-profit Sheridan Pilots Association and served as President for over six years planning events including Public Open-Houses and Air Shows.
